Shipping and receiving days
Hey there! So, you've placed an order and are now wondering when that magical box of small animal happiness will arrive at your doorstep. Don't worry, we've got all the squeaky details about delivery times directly from our friends at PostNL. But keep in mind, even PostNL can be a bit unpredictable at times—life’s full of surprises, right? Anyway, here’s what you can expect:
Monday before 5 pm> Tuesday
Tuesday before 5 pm> Wednesday
Wednesday before 5 pm> Thursday
Thursday before 5 pm> Friday
Friday before 5 pm> Saturday
Saturday before 3 pm> Monday
But hey, remember that this schedule might change during busy periods. PostNL might shuffle things around a bit to keep us on our toes. Oh, and if you place an order over the weekend or on public holidays, expect possible delays. The delivery elves take it a bit easier with their magic during those times.
Picking up your order in Holland
Want to shake things up and pick up your order yourself? Totally understandable! When placing your order, you have the option to collect it personally. During checkout (Step 2, to be precise), you can select "Pick Up" and decide how you’d like to pay. You can either pay in advance using one of our convenient payment methods or pay on-site when you come to collect. Once you receive a message from us saying your order is ready, you can pick it up during these times:
Monday - Fiday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Shipping with PostNL
Your order will be shipped safely and quickly with PostNL. We do not use other shipping providers. All orders are exclusively shipped with PostNL.
Shipments within the Netherlands
0 - 23 kg/96 Liter € 5,49
23 - 46 kg/112 Liter € 11,99
For heavier or larger shipments, pricing will continue in the same manner.
Shipments to Belgium
0 - 23 kg/96 Liter € 6,25
23 - 30 kg/112 Liter € 12,49
For heavier or larger shipments, pricing will continue in the same manner.
Shipments to Germany
0 - 2 kg € 7,25
2 - 5 kg € 8,25
5 -10 kg € 9,25

Pallet shipping
- Netherlands: €65 (includes free insurance)
- Belgium: €95 (includes free insurance)
- Germany: €185 (includes free insurance)
Your order will be shipped via pallet delivery in the following cases:
- Orders over 90 kg
- Terrariums up to 120 cm
- As required by PostNL
Pickup at a PostNL location
Waiting for an order? There's nothing more annoying than coming home after a busy workday and finding a message from the driver saying you weren't home at the time of delivery. Wouldn't it be nice if you could have the package delivered to a location that suits you best? Well, you can! At DRD Pet Store, you can choose to pick up your package at the nearest PostNL point. Your package will be delivered to the closest PostNL point. If you want it to be delivered to a different PostNL point, you can specify it during the ordering process. The rates for "Pakje Gemak" are the same as the shipping costs with PostNL.
*It is the customer's responsibility to enter and/or verify the shipping address correctly if it's already filled in. The shipping costs or any additional costs due to incorrect address information will not be reimbursed.
