The Rock Bowl can be used as a food bowl. This is not the primary function of the tray. The bowl is actually made as a drinking bowl for small animals, but it can also be used as a natural-looking food bowl. A food bowl ensures that the animals know where to expect their food. The caretaker can clearly see from the contents of the food bowl how much the animals have eaten. In addition, the food remains hygienically clean in a feeding bowl. In short, a food bowl has many advantages! Place the food bowl in a permanent place in the enclosure and fill it with the recommended amount of food for the animal.
12 cm is suitable as a very spacious food bowl for small rodents such as: Mouse, Dwarf Hamster, Hamster, and Gerbil. Optionally also suitable as an extra food bowl for a group of Degus.
17 cm is suitable as a food bowl for slightly larger rodents such as: Rat, Guinea pig, Rabbit, Chinchilla and Degu
A Rock Tank can also be used as a water dish. It is very important to ensure the hygiene of the water. Water gets dirty faster in a water bowl than in a drinking bottle. Fill the water container with clean water and replace it every day or more often if it is soiled.
12 and 15 cm is possibly suitable as an extra water bowl for the slightly larger rodents such as: Rat, Guinea pig, Rabbit, Chinchilla and Degu.
The largest Rock Tray (15 cm) can also be used as a sand tray for the smallest rodents (Mouse, Dwarf Hamster) . Fill the tray with a layer of chinchilla sand and the bathing can begin!
