For example, let's talk about the notorious "rodents" among our furry friends: gerbils, chinchillas and degus. These little rascals can completely destroy a wooden exercise wheel within two weeks if they want to. Although the size of the exercise wheel is suitable, the material is less suitable. If your rodent is a real rodent and likes to gnaw on wood, choose a different material exercise wheel.
Which material running wheel should I choose?
And what about plastic? Plastic is a different story. Most rodents have no interest in chewing on plastic, but if they do, they can chew through a plastic exercise wheel.
