Great Original Chinchilla Bath Sand for Rodents!

Puik Badzand has been specially developed for small steppe and desert dwellers. The particularly fine grain and velvety structure nourishes the coat and frees it from dander, dirt and grease. High-quality bath sand is also indispensable for nail care. This allows the rodents to wear their nails naturally.

Chinchillas are very house-trained animals that groom their own fur. Therefore, place a bowl of approximately 20cm long and 15cm high with a 2cm layer of bath sand in the cage every evening and leave it for half an hour. Your Chinchilla washes itself by turning in the sand and thus keeps its coat soft and airy. The canister is equipped with a spreading cap for optimal ease of use. Excellent bath sand is suitable for chinchillas, degus, hamsters and gerbils.

Chinchillas need a sand bath daily. Place the sand in a tall container or litter box and let your chinchillas roll in it. They will have a great time and the sand will help keep their coat healthy by removing excess oil.

Degus also need regular sand baths to keep their coat free of naturally secreted oil. Degus need a sand bath at least twice a week.

Always remove contaminated sand immediately and replace all sand once a week.

Instructions for use Puik Original Chinchilla bath sand

The Puik Original Chinchilla bathing sand must be available in spacious sandboxes or in demarcated areas in the enclosure. This must be cleaned weekly with, for example, a sieve. The bath sand is also suitable as toilet sand. This should be replaced 2-3 times a week.

NB! Chinchillas should not be bathed in water because their coat absorbs the water and makes it difficult for the coat to dry. Water in the coat can lead to hypothermia, which can be fatal.
