How do you transport a mouse?
Sometimes the mouse has to be taken out of the house. This could be for a visit to the vet or simply to another location. Then it is nice to have a safe and suitable transport box at hand.
Preferably do not use cardboard boxes. Mice are rodents and cardboard doesn't stand a chance against mouse teeth. In short, they chew through it in no time.
A good transport box has a semi-closed bottom and a top with sufficient ventilation. However, the ventilation should not be too wide so that the animals cannot escape through it. In our range you will find different types and sizes of transport boxes that are suitable for mice. The large transport boxes provide more space to place a house in the box, for example.
How can you reduce stress during conquest?
A tip we can give is to place your own ground cover in the transport box. For example, are you going to pick up a mouse from the shelter or breeder? Then take some bedding from the nest and put it in the transport box. The animal will then have its own familiar scent with it during transport.
