Platforms are very useful accessories for the hamster cage. For example, with a platform you can create an extra floor in the cage. This gives your Hamster extra play and living space. The Hamsters always appreciate that! In addition, a plateau provides a stable place to place water or feed and the ground cover can be built up nice and high. If a plateau is too high, a ladder is very useful to give the hamster easy access to the higher part.
We recommend a closed ladder for most hamster species. Unfortunately, hamsters are not good climbers, so an open ladder will be more difficult for them. An exception to this is the Chinese Dwarf Hamster, which can climb reasonably well.
