Is the Dill Harvest suitable for Hamsterscaping?

Of course! It is very nice to use for hamster scaping , not only as a natural decoration, but also as a healthy and natural snack for the animals. It's actually a very natural approach to how wildlife forage and pick their herbs too.

Do all Rodents and Rabbits like the Dill Harvest?

Yes definitely! The Dill Harvest falls under the harvest with herbs , which is different from harvest with seeds or harvest with leaves . The harvest with herbs is best suited as food for herbivorous (plant-eating) rodents (guinea pig, chinchilla, degu) and rabbit. These animals also eat a lot of herbs in the wild.

Granivorous (seed-eating) rodents, such as mice, dwarf hamsters, hamsters, gerbils and rats, are less likely to eat the herbs, but they certainly enjoy them! These animals eat herbs according to their needs.

How should I offer the Dill Harvest?

There are many ways to offer the Dill Harvest, depending on the objective. You can easily place the Dill Harvest on the bedding, but if you want your animal to have to make an effort, you can place the Dill upright in the bedding, with a layer of at least 20 cm this is easy to do.

It is also possible to attach this to the bars of the enclosure with a snack clamp .
It is also possible to attach the Dill to glass using a suction cup clamp .

Does Dill Harvest pose a challenge to rodents?

Yes for sure! Dill Harvest provides a lot of challenge because the animals have to harvest the herbs from the plant themselves. After all, the herb is not offered loose but must really be picked from the plant and that provides extra enrichment, which we also call feed enrichment.

How is the Dill Harvest stored with us?

It is nice to know that we receive this harvest directly from the manufacturer and can therefore offer very good freshness. In our warehouse the harvest is stored cool, dry and UV-free. The latter is important to prevent the breakdown of nutrients by UV light. We therefore recommend that you always store the harvest in a dark, cool and dry place.
