How can the Coconut Houses with Ladder be used?

The Coconut Houses are very cozy and very suitable for small rodents such as Mice, Dwarf Hamsters, Hamsters and Gerbils. For climbing rodents such as Mice, the Coconut Houses can best be hung up. This is easy thanks to the hanging system with supplied metal clamp. The climbing rodents then have a very nice challenge to get into the house.

For ground animals, so rodents that live on or in the ground, such as Dwarf hamsters, Hamsters and (Fat-tailed) Gerbils, the houses are best placed low or placed on the ground cover. The ladder has then actually lost its function, because these rodents cannot climb well.

The houses contain a tuft of coconut fibre as nesting material. It is good to cut this tuft short to a maximum of 5 cm so that no legs can get tangled in it.

What is the best way to clean the Coconut Houses with Ladder?

The coconut can in principle be rinsed with lukewarm water, but must then be dried thoroughly. Wiping with a dry cloth and letting it dry is recommended. If the coconut remains wet for a long time, mold can form, by keeping the coconut dry this is prevented.
