The Mixerama menu for Gerbils is a complete pet food formulated for the special nutritional needs of Mongolian gerbils. The basis is a grain mixture with a 70:30 ratio of flour and oil seeds. This food is expanded with nuts, kernels, vegetable and animal protein food (5%) and vegetables.
The vegetable content of 9.5% makes the food healthy and low in fat. Bell pepper, tomato and cucumber are just some of the included components. The required proteins are provided by animal proteins in the form of mealworms and freshwater shrimp.
The high-quality oilseeds have been carefully selected. Mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids are important components of the diet. In addition, oil seeds are rich in vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
The gourmet menu for Mongolian gerbils is a complete food, but should be supplemented daily with fresh food and, if necessary, with additional animal proteins, nuts and kernels and sprouted food (rodent sprouts).
✔ 100% Natural
✔ Packaged under a protected atmosphere
✔ Plastic-free packaged in cellulose. These bags are biodegradable and can be composted
We always strive for freshness and freshness! That is why we have decided to no longer sell bulk packages of Mixerama natural foods. Instead, we now offer volume discounts for anyone who has a lot of rodents. In this way, larger quantities can still be purchased cheaply, but in a much fresher and better proportioned form.
A small rodent eats on average between 6 and 10 grams of food per day. A 500 gram package will last you 50 to 83 days, which equates to approximately 1.5 to 2.5 months, which is actually much too long.
Suppose you need 2.5 kg of feed, then it is better to take 5 bags of 500 grams instead of one bag of 2.5 kg, in view of freshness. Once a bag of natural food is opened, it must be eaten quickly to maintain freshness.
The Fat-tailed gerbil must also be fed (dried) insects in addition to its main diet. Fat-tailed gerbils are insectivores by nature. This is also clearly visible in the pointed snout. Gerbil food is a very good basis for the Fat-tailed gerbil, but it must be fed (dried) mealworms, crickets, beetles, etc. every day. To meet this nutritional need, we also have various insect mixes for the animals.
