Rodents have only a low heat tolerance limit. In nature, the animals retreat to the cooling, underground burrow when it is hot - you can imitate this effect in the cage with the Granite Stone! Tip for hot days: On particularly hot days you can significantly increase the cooling effect by dripping a few drops of water on the granite roof.
✔ Supports the regulation of body temperature
✔ Cool during hot days
✔ Rough bottom can help the nails wear down
Rodents have only a low heat tolerance. In nature, animals retreat to the cooling, underground burrow when it is hot - you can imitate this effect with a cooling stone. In summer, a cooling stone provides pleasant cooling.
❤ TIP ❤ Moss works like a sponge. Saturated with water, it retains the refreshing liquid for hours, releases it slowly and continuously, keeping the fine capillaries of the granite slabs moist and cool for a long time. During evaporation, a physical phenomenon automatically lowers the environment: wonderful climate!
Yes, that is possible, through the bottom of the cooling stone. The granite stone has a fairly rough bottom. In winter, the rodents do not need cooling. Turn the stone over in winter and let the animals walk over it so that the nails can wear down.
Although the stones can often be stored in the refrigerator, this is not the case with the freezer. If too great a temperature difference occurs, the cooling stone may crack. We therefore advise against placing the stone in the refrigerator. The stone cools down automatically as soon as the animals leave it for a while.
The stone can easily be wiped off with soapy water and water.
It is good to place the stone on a stable surface, for example a plateau or on top of a flat roof of a house. The stone may also be placed on the bedding, but there is a good chance that the animals will throw bedding over it, so that they can no longer lie on it properly.
