Fill the sandbox with enough chinchilla sand . By enough we mean a layer that is thick enough to bathe nicely. Only use chinchilla sand as bath sand. Other types of sand are less or not suitable as bath sand. Shell sand should never be used, because it is too sharp and can damage the skin and fur of the animals.

What is ceramic?

Ceramic is glazed earthenware. The difference between terracotta and ceramic is that ceramic is glazed and terracotta is not glazed. Due to the glaze layer, ceramic is: strong, water-resistant, insulating and easy to clean. The biggest advantage for us is that urine cannot soak into the material. Any puddles can be wiped away, because they soak into it.
