Hang Birch Plateau for Rodents, Birds & Ferrets!

Hang up the birch plateau and let the fun begin! The plateau can be hung using two sturdy chains. This works best in a barred cage, but this could also be done in a wooden enclosure using a hook, for example. Mice, Rats and Chinchillas love the platforms to play on.

Instructions for use Hanging Plateau

For mice and rats, this may be hung higher in the enclosure. Mice and rats are good climbers that like to stay at the top of the enclosure. Make sure that any fall is always broken.

For other rodents it should be hung lower, as these animals often cannot climb very well and cannot see depth. An exception to this is the Chinese Dwarf hamster, which is better at climbing. The animals must always be able to get on and off easily.
