A Degu cage should be spacious and somewhat higher. Degus love to jump and climb, so a somewhat higher cage is very nice for them. All cages are equipped with plateaus, so that the animals have multiple places to sit. Degus find it very pleasant to sit somewhat higher on a plateau.
How big should the Degu cage be?
A good Chinchilla cage is at least 1 m high and has a depth of 50 cm. Degus are social animals that prefer to live together in a group. They should therefore always be kept with at least two animals. The more degus there are, the larger the cage should be.
How can you get Degus more exercise?
