Instructions for use as a sandbox

Fill the sandbox with enough chinchilla sand. By sufficient we mean a layer that is thick enough for a nice bath. Only use chinchilla sand as bath sand. Other types of sand are less or not suitable as bath sand. Under no circumstances should shell sand be used, because it is too sharp and can damage the skin and fur of the animals.

Instructions for use as a toilet

Most rodents are housetrained and often choose one corner or place in their enclosure where they do their business. It's up to us to figure out which place that is. If we can find out, that is where the toilet should be located. In the beginning, put a few old poops in the new toilet so that the animals can rely on the smell to know where to do their business.
