The curvature of the cork board depends on the curvature of the tree from which it is taken. The cork boards are the bark of the cork tree and their shapes can vary greatly. If it is a smaller tree with a smaller diameter then the bark will have a greater curvature, but if the bark is taken from a larger tree then it will have a flatter shape. The place on the tree from which the bark is taken can also differ per piece. For example, a piece taken from the upper part of the tree will show a greater curvature due to a smaller diameter than from the lower part of the tree with a larger diameter.
